Prior to the founding of Montoro Ricablanca & Sarmiento, Atty. Montoro served as Legal Consultant for a prominent financial institution, where he handled corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and the resolution of labor disputes. His foundational practice was honed at RT Law and Communications Legal Consultancy, where he managed a diverse portfolio of criminal and civil litigation, special proceedings, and property disputes. Notably, his commitment to advocacy dates back to his legal studies at San Sebastian College – Recoletos, where he successfully secured a favorable outcome for a laborer while he was still a law student.
Atty. Belhurvier Ricablanca is one of the founding partners of Montoro Ricablanca Sarmiento and Partners Law, and a practicing lawyer based in Quezon City. A litigator with a proven record of success, he is known for his strategic, meticulous, and results-driven approach to legal advocacy. His practice covers criminal and civil litigation, nullity and annulment of marriage, corporate and labor relations, and immigration law.
Previously, Atty. Ricablanca served as Corporate Counsel for Phesco Incorporated and as an Associate at Nicolas and De Vega Law Office, where he worked on high-profile, complex cases. He ranked first in his graduating class from San Sebastian College of Law and earned a Business Administration degree, major in Management, cum laude, from the University of the East.
Atty. Mary Jennie Leigh Q. Sarmiento is a graduate of San Sebastian College – Recoletos College of law and a founding partner of Montoro, Ricablanca, Sarmiento, and Partners Law, where she provides strategic legal counsel to both individual and corporate clients.
Her legal career began during law school, where she worked as a paralegal, followed by professional experience e in a real estate firm. These formative roles provided her with strong foundation in practical legal problem-solving and client representation. She currently focuses her practice on property law, civil law, immigration law, corporate law, and criminal law, handling legal matters with diligence, precision, and client-centered advocacy. Beyond private practice, Atty. Sarmiento has been actively involved in public policy and maritime affairs. As a maritime security advocate and maritime specialist, she played a significant role in advancing the passage of the Maritime Zones Law, a landmark legislation that strengthened the Philippines’ sovereign and legal maritime framework.
